Since being in Cambodia, many people have asked us questions like, "Who are your friends?" or "What's your social life look like?" If we had a normal life, I think that would be an easy answer to give and would make sense. We have always leaned towards having mostly Cambodians as our main community here and we LOVE it that way. We are here to love and serve Cambodians, so that's who we choose to spend a lot of our time with. We also have a couple of married couples with kids, and of course the wonderful staff of In His Steps including Eric and Ginny Hanson, our fearless leaders.
I want to share some photos from our community. These past few weeks, we've been blessed with the opportunity to visit the beach with an outreach team from Woodmen Valley Chapel and take a special trip to the Phnom Penh Water Park where we celebrated Aidan Gibbs' birthday. He's 8 years old and is Ryan and Jessica's son. (Jessica is Eric and Ginny's daughter.) She moved here with her husband and son to serve. It's been wonderful having them here!
Today was a beautiful picture of godly community (Cambodian and Western) coming together to support Aidan in celebrating his birthday. It was a blast.
Here are a few photos from our community and a few extra bonus shots of the boys.
